I am a self-taught pounamu carver; I've been carving for the last 12 years but my journey with pounamu started many years ago. My inspiration as a youngster was watching my grandad and his friends carving and collecting. This started my lifelong interest in greenstone.

My carving style can be described as taking a modern twist on traditional form, I am heavily influenced by the flora and fauna of the rugged West Coast where I live and work.
