Established in 1962, Westland Greenstone has been proudly sharing authentic New Zealand pounamu (New Zealand jade/greenstone) with visitors from around Aotearoa and the world for more than 60 years.

Located in Hokitika, on Te Tai Poutini (the West Coast of the South Island), Westland Greenstone was established as New Zealand's first dedicated retail and factory outlet specialising in the design and manufacture of pounamu jewellery, sculptures and ornaments. Over the decades, we have grown to become one of New Zealand's leading pounamu carving and manufacturing companies, while remaining firmly connected to the region where our story began.

Today, Westland Greenstone proudly enters a new chapter under the ownership of Kāti Māhaki, one of the 18 Papatipu Rūnanga (tribal councils with recognised authority over their ancestral lands) of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu.
