Martini Miller-Pānapa is a Māori carver with whakapapa to Kāti Waewae and Kāti Māhaki, connecting him strongly to Te Tai Poutini and the whenua from which pounamu comes.
His work brings together traditional Māori forms and contemporary design, allowing the natural colour, markings and individual character of each piece of pounamu to remain an important part of the finished carving.
